Tidy Up Tomball Celebrates Third Anniversary with Seventh Community Cleanup Event, Expects Nearly 400 Volunteers
Nonprofit highlights its Keep Texas Beautiful affiliate status with new road signage and debuts new service-project pilot program
TOMBALL, TX — [October 8, 2026] — Tidy Up Tomball, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to beautifying the Tomball community, will host its seventh community cleanup event on Saturday, October 24, 2026, with an expected turnout of nearly 400 volunteers from across the area.
This year’s event also marks a special milestone for the organization: Tidy Up Tomball is celebrating three years as a nonprofit. Since its founding in 2023, volunteers have collected more than 31,700 pounds of trash and logged over 1,589 volunteer participations across the Tomball community. Notably, 44% of Tidy Up Tomball’s volunteer base is 18 years old or younger. It’s a statistic the organization is proud of, in the hope that it leaves a lasting impression on its youngest volunteers as they grow into lifelong environmental stewards.
Tidy Up Tomball has been an official affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) since November 2024. Founded in 1967 and a state affiliate of Keep America Beautiful since 1985, KTB is the largest environmental and community improvement network in Texas, reaching more than 17 million Texans annually. As a KTB affiliate, Tidy Up Tomball has access to statewide training, resources, and technical support for its cleanup and community improvement efforts. As part of this fall’s milestone celebrations, Tidy Up Tomball recently presented official Keep Texas Beautiful signage to the Tomball City Council, which will be displayed around the city to recognize the affiliation.
New this year, the organization is piloting Tidy Up Tomball: Beyond the Bag, a service-project program that expands the organization’s mission beyond litter cleanup. Alongside the traditional cleanup routes, volunteer teams will complete small exterior service projects — such as yard work and minor repairs — for residents and nonprofits within the City of Tomball, with priority given to seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. The fall pilot is limited to 5 service projects as the organization tests the process, with a public launch being considered for spring 2027.
“This milestone shows how much our organization has grown and evolved. From the very beginning, we had a vision for Tidy Up Tomball to be more than just a community cleanup event. It’s exciting to be at a point where we can branch out and do even more for our community through Tidy Up Tomball: Beyond the Bag. I can’t wait to see where it goes!” said Amanda Trickey, Founder & President of Tidy Up Tomball, who was recently named the 2025-2026 Citizen of the Year by the Tomball Rotary Club for her work with the organization.
This year’s cleanup is made possible in part through the generous support of Veolia, Tidy Up Tomball’s Tidy Up Partner Sponsor.
